About Chris.......

The Early Years

A guitarist  of  24 years and  teacher for the  last 8 I  began playing  at the age of 16 which was a pretty late start but thanks  to a  strong   passion  for  the  instrument  and  dedication  to practice, I  bloomed  quickly  and was  playing in bands  by  the  age  of 17.  Performing at  parties  and  in high  school  talent  shows  kept  me  active in  the  teenage musical community of Brockport,  NY meanwhile  attending  weekly guitar  lessons in  nearby  Rochester, NY.  Having started  in the  late 80's  era when  a high  level of  guitar ability  was required  to  play in  rock bands I needed to keep chops up as competition was somewhat fierce.

Moving On Up
This mentality and a good degree of self discipline drove me to play as best I could. I continued to play and record in original music bands through out my 20's performing in numerous clubs in the upstate NY area of Rochester. I relocated to the south Florida area in the mid 90's and played in hard rock/ heavy metal bands. Most notably I played in a group called FUZE which opened for the now famous NONPOINT on more than one occasion.

Going Solo

Eventually I developed my own solo act as a guitarist and singer as well, performing fulltime as a "one man band" doing classic rock and blues standards. In doing this my improvisation skills improved tremendously as none of my guitar solo's were the same each night. After doing this act for several years, the opportunity to perform on Carnival Cruise Lines was presented to me. This I did for over one year.

Where I Stand Now.....

I feel very fortunate that my talent and dedication to my instrument gave me these opportunities and I continue to enjoy passing on my knowledge and experience for others to take their own talents in their own individual direction. You will not find a more patient and encouraging coach than myself.

Local Activity

Since moving to the Central Florida area in January of '06 I have played for numerous groups and in many venues around Orlando and in Daytona and Brevard county/Cocoa Beach. I was the lead singer/guitarist for local cover band trio Triple Octane which was active for about 3 years while simultaneously part of a dance/rock duo called 3's a Crowd for several years playing mostly on the east coast in the Brevard county area. I have also played for or filled-in for various local cover bands on guitar such as Stellar Junction, Cocked n Loaded, 4 Play, Tri-Maris, Changes, Frankie and the West End Boys, Groove Illusion, Kno Mercy, Band on Fire, the Wingmen, Cheapskank, 4th kind, the Junky's, Voodoo, Psycho Magnets, Bar Fly, Audio Z, Impulse, ZZ Bottom and East Side Rock. Currently I perform solo as a acoustic act which for current scheduling you can view the events section of this website.
I was asked to be a judge for the 2008 King of the Blues guitar competition at the Orange Blossom Trail location of GUITAR CENTER. In 2011 I was also requested to judge a Battle of the Bands competition at JOHNNY's FILLIN STATION for which the winner was awarded a $1000 prize. I am currently the host for MULDOON's Acoustic open mic on sunday nights.
In 2012 I wrote and recorded a song for the brand new local professional hockey team the ORLANDO SOLAR BEARS of the ECHL. It was the crowd chant song from their beginning 2012-2013 season and titled "lets go bears" and was used for 4 seasons. And as my relationship with the team continued to evolve they were gracious enough to invite me to perform the National Anthem on guitar at the Amway Center on Feb 21st 2013 before their game against the Gwinnet Gladiators. Released my first full length radio quality CD “Mr. Somebody Else” in May of 2014 and am still quite excited about the possibilities of it and the reaction I’ve gotten from it and it's July 2015 follow up "Tales from the Shoreline". It is truly a culmination of things from where i've started to where I am. One track from the 1st album, "under your thumb" was played on 98.9 WMMO's "Sunday Morning Acoustic" show feb 22nd 2015. And was played 3 more times throughout the year on the show. The current CD "Tales from the Shoreline" is out and even better. I continue to gig locally and enjoy teaching guitar to the Central Florida masses. Please catch a show when you can...
